Sunday, June 25th – Worship Service @ 10 am – Welcome, Pastor Monnett!

We are very pleased to be welcoming Rev. Dr. Jim Monnett into our FPC Family as our Interim Pastor. Pastor Monnett’s first service with us will be this Sunday, June 25th at 10 am where he will lead us in worship and give a sermon entitled “Victory?”. We hope you can join us this Sunday and are glad for the chance to gather together in fellowship and celebration!

Part-time Youth Director Position Available

First Presbyterian Church of Saline, Michigan. (salinepres.org)

We are a 280-member Presbyterian Church (USA) located west of Detroit in a small town near Ann Arbor, Michigan, and are seeking a part-time 25 hour/week Youth Director.

Building upon a current core of twenty-five actively participating youth, the Youth Director will be responsible for the spiritual development process of students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. A secondary but critical emphasis will be on organizing and supporting our existing crew of adult volunteers, and recruiting new volunteers as needed. The Youth Director will also be mindful of Saline Presbyterian’s efforts to be missional in our outreach to the community in ways that tangibly extend the love of Christ beyond the walls of the church.

The successful candidate must relate well to children and adults of all ages, possess good organizational and leadership skills, and be comfortable with current technologies. The Youth Director will be an active member of the church’s leadership team. Youth-oriented experience in a small/medium church is preferred. Sunday, June 18th – Worshipping together at 10 am

We are honored to have Matt Gillingham leading us in worship this Sunday, June 18th at 10 am, with a sermon entitled “Okay, Now What? Hopeful Reflections on Who We Are, Whose We Are, and What Comes Next”. We are glad to be coming together again in worship and fellowship and hope we will see you soon!

Pentecost: Sunday, June 4th – Traditional Communion Service @ 11 am

This Sunday, June 4th, is Pentecost and Pastor Bester will be presiding over his last traditional communion service with us at First Presbyterian with a single service at 11 am. Rev. Bester will be giving a sermon entitled “Fire Makes Everything Better!” We look forward to coming together in worship for this special service and hope you are able to join us!
